Welcome
Debden Pre-School has been around since the early 1980's and supports young children in Debden and the surrounding villages in a small and friendly setting.
The Pre-School is run by an elected committee of parent volunteers. The support of parents/carers is vital to the continued success of the Pre-School.
Debden Pre-School is OFSTED registered to provide care and education for children from 2 1/2 to school age.
Our aims are to:
Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which each child is encouraged to fulfil his/her potential.
Build and maintain children's confidence in happy and caring surroundings.
Build a close bond with the child and his/her parent.
We offer a curriculum that enables children to progress towards the early learning goals identified for the foundation stage.
"Debden Pre-School provides a rich, stimulating environment where children are motivated to learn". OFSTED Report - September 2000
We offer your child:
Individual care and attention from committed professional staff.
The support of a designated personal key worker.
Fun, play and friendship with other children and adults.
Structure of the sessions:
We aim to get the right balance between providing time for freedom of expression, and the security of a structured routine.
During each term, sessions are planned around themes such as colours, transport, people who help us.
Parents will have advance notice of these themes via newsletters.
Settling in:
To help children (and parents) to feel confident in their first few weeks at Pre-School, the key worker and parents will agree a settling in process. Parents are encouraged to visit and stay for as many part or full sessions as necessary in the early weeks, until both child and parent are happy and confident in the setting.
Fees:
Fees are £8.50 per session and £2.50 for lunch. There is also a £5.00 charge per term for snacks.
Children staying for lunch should bring a healthy packed lunch. Drinks and snacks are provided.
Session Times:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 9am - 11:45am.
Lunch club on these days runs from 11:45am - 12:45am
Rising 5's on Thursday afternoons - 12:15 - 2:45
We look forward to meeting you!
